Information Architect for the re-architect of the Deals & Offers Platform. Integrated existing systems with new systems developed for the new platform.
The Business Problem*
The current offers on Marriott.com are underutilized because of guests perception that the offers provide little value, and that Marriott.com is not the appropriate place to search for deals.
The Design Goals*
The design team took a creative approach to design an instantly recognizable and personalized experience to deals that will be offered at more relevant times in the booking process. We had to rethink the current state to create a more connected and engaging platform while unifying the experience across all digital touch points.
The Hypothesis*
By displaying deals in one place that is recognizable and relevant, users will engage more with the offer and book them through Marriott.com.
The Results
This product has currently soft launched and is constantly being evaluated and tested on a regular basis. Initial user testing suggests that visitors do appreciate the information in a more centrally located area, but would also like to see more as far as functionality.
